2005 marks the 50th year since the founding of Nanyang University, our predecessor institution that first planted the seeds of knowledge in Yunnan Garden. It is also the year in which all our three new schools, Humanities and Social Sciences, Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and Art, Design and Media, will be operating in full swing.

Through a string of events, we celebrate the colourful mosaic and tapestry that is the NTU of today, the talents of our students, the achievements of our professors, and the richness of campus life.

The themes (GlobalNANYANG, ConnectNANYANG, CelebrateNANYANG, ExperienceNANYANG and VentureNANYANG) for the events showcase the attributes that reinforce the vision of being a global university of excellence, and the mission of educating leaders and advancing knowledge for Singapore and beyond.
