New graduates had a blast at St James Powerhouse on 2 August as they were welcomed to the NTU alumni family.
Recently graduated from their respective Schools, the Class of 2008 were invited to party with their new alumni family at St James Powerhouse. Before they indulge, they were treated to a piece of good news.
Dr Su Guaning, President of NTU, who was told of the news just moments before he arrived to launch the party, shared with all present. He announced: "It has just been decided by the Youth Olympics Games (YOG) Organising Committee that the YOG's Village in 2010, the very first one in the world, will be at the NTU campus…and we shall see how we can host these great athletes from all around the world, including our own Singapore athletes."
Happening party, happening people Dr Su has certainly set the mood of the party. Class of 2008 didn't need any nudging to let their hair down. As the resident DJ spun the music, they began grooving to the beat.
Also there to celebrate with the Class of 2008 were NTU senior management staff, including Senior Associate Provost, Secretary to the University, deans, chairs and heads of departments.
Many stayed on even when the club opened its doors to the public at 10pm. The night was still young and it was one happening party, thanks to the wild crowd.
The Welcome Class 2008 Alumni Party was put together by the NTU Alumni Affairs Office.
