The University's latest batch of graduates receives a warm welcome at a party in Zouk.
And what a party the Class of 2009 were treated to!
In celebration of their graduation and new identity as NTU's valued alumni, the Alumni Affairs Office (AAO) held an exclusive party at Zouk, for the greatest bunch deserved the hottest club in all of Asia.
NTU President Dr Su Guaning, who graced the Welcome Class 2009 Alumni Party, encouraged the new graduates to stay connected with NTU. In his address to get the party off to a good start, he said: "Graduation does not mark the end of our links, but the start of lifelong bonds. As you begin a new and exciting phase of life, as the shuttle bus-stops and lecture theatres fade in your memory, do stay connected with the University and come back often – whether it is for continued learning, to meet up with old friends and professors, or to join in our alumni activities."
The Welcome Class 2009 Alumni Party was also attended by other senior management and academic staff.
There to party for the first time was Mr Chew Kheng Chuan, the newly-appointed Chief University Advancement Officer, who was accompanied by his wife. The partying folks made Dr Su and Mr Chew felt more than welcomed, with the latter boogieing away with the Class of 2009.
Some 1,200 alumni and staff, together with their partners, showed up at the party held on 1 August.
