Our Alumni Affairs Office hosts the annual NTU Alumni Class Agents Chinese New Year Gathering to acknowledge our stakeholders.
What better time than the Chinese New Year to gather and recognise those whose voluntary contributions make them a valuable member in the NTU community.
Dr Su Guaning, President of NTU, said in his welcome speech, "Your tireless contributions and efforts to build and strengthen our 120,000-strong alumni network are instrumental in building the University." He also praised them for their leadership and passion for the University.
As many as 180 Class Agents turned up for the Chinese New Year gathering. Held to recognise those who have served fellow alumni, it was also a platform to usher in the Year of the Ox and rejoice in the achievements of the past year.
What's up, NTU? Class Agents were also kept updated on some of the latest developments of the University...
- Nanyang MBA's new record! Ranked 24th in the world in the latest Financial Times Global rankings of MBA programmes, it is the highest ever ranking out of Singapore.
- NTU's debut at Chingay with an NTU dragon-trio float – Draconika – scored as an engineering marvel and the Most Popular Float at Chingay 2009.
Keen to be a Class Agent? If you would also like to take the lead and be the link between your classmates and NTU, email us or call 6790 4434.
"I find the Class Agents New Year Gathering a good way for alumni to catch up, and what better way than to have it coincide with the Lunar New Year. It makes it all that more meaningful – I am glad we had the 'lo hei'. What's more, I was able to catch up with those I know, as well as to network with class reps from different faculties and era." - Martinn Ho Yuen Liung, MPE / 1985
