Alumni and friends go on an exciting journey into Gotham City and catch the latest Batman adventure at the exclusive alumni movie screening of "The Dark Knight".
Batman continues to fight crimes… While the Dark Knight finds himself prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a criminal mastermind, the Joker, the alumni present watched intensely. The movie was the second private screening for the year, and close to 200 alumni and their friends gathered at the GV cinema at Vivo City on 20 July.
Many took the chance to network with fellow friends over a tea reception held before the start of the show at 3.30pm. As they caught up with one another, they engaged in casual chit-chatting; a session which proved very fruitful for alumni who had not met their fellow friends for some time.
Soon Gotham City beckoned. When the time came for the alumni to trail Batman's thrilling adventure, excitement was in the air. So did they enjoy the follow-up movie to the first hit "Batman Begins"? Did they enjoy Christian Bale, reprising his role as Batman/ Bruce Wayne, and the late Heath Ledger, playing the evil criminal, the Joker? Our alumni have their say…
"We enjoyed the characters in the movie and the gathering was great. It was fun catching up with friends and fellow alumni," said Mr Toh Tser Siong, alumnus from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering's Class of 2004.
Mr Raymond Wee, an alumnus from the School of Computer Engineering, Class of 2001, said: "This is the first time I am attending this event, and it was good. I was also pleasantly surprised to meet up with some of my schoolmates after a long time."
