The Chinese Society Alumni association organised a reunion camp from 27 to 28 May to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The festivities included a stay-over at NTU's Hall of Residence 2 and a mini-concert.

The mini-concert included performances by the current students from the Chinese Society and also the alumni. There was even dance performance by the children of the alumni! The hard work put in by everyone paid-off as the performance was a great success.

However, it was not the success of the performance that the participants (the alumni) were savouring; it was the fond memories that they sought to relive and rejoice in.  In addition, the camp also became a great platform for alumni to share memories of their university days with their family members, especially their children.

For the 2 days, reminiscing took the Chinese Society alumni members on a nostalgic journey down memory lane, revisiting old hang-outs, reliving their former university days and reflecting on the accomplishments and changes of the society. More importantly, they were able to share their love for the society and the friendships with their families and loved ones.

It was certainly a memorable camp for the alumni, their families and current student members of the NTU Chinese Society.

As aptly put by one of the alumni, Kian Mong: "Life is not just about work and the future. Sometimes we need to stop and look back and recall what we had gone through, and enjoy every moment of those memories."

南大中文学会校友会欢庆十周年

本着对当年在学会度过无数欢乐日子的怀念，我们决定主办这次的南洋理工大学中文学会校友会成立十周年回校庆祝会。看到济济一堂的校友及他们的家人、孩子们，我真的很感动！当年国才、铭璋等前辈们在困难重重的环境下创办了南洋理工大学中文学会，看到今天学会的各个文娱小组强大的阵容，我想我们这些校友都感到欣慰。校友会的成立也是因为玉音、亚萍等第八、九届的校友们对学会的执着情谊才实现的。

在有限的资源下，校友会执委们(瑞芬、振国、慧仪、江慧、锦贤、莉眉) 和校友美雄、健茂、培昌决定给每个参与活动的校友一个美丽难忘的回忆，那种无我的精神和决心就如当年我们举办活动的那种全神投入的精神一样，只一句话了得: "无得顶!"。

校友们一见面就吱吱喳喳个不停，孩子们到处又跑又跳的玩闹着，翼智、昙明、学翰围绕着学利和着吉他的旋律拼命地练歌，美雄、瑞芬和我们家的孩子们赶着化妆和练舞，锦贤和培昌在练习朗读司仪稿，学会在籍的口琴组及表艺组也在做最后的排练。

就这样，我们开始了我们的回忆之旅。节目中司仪的对白、校友访问、口琴吹出的美妙旋律、孩子们天真的舞步、校友们宝刀未老的歌声、舞技、在籍同学们积极的参与配合，这一切就好像时光倒流，让我们回到多年前年轻的时代所过的学会岁月。真的很过瘾！晚会过后十多只夜猫子在冷气室里唱了又唱小册子里的老歌，唱到没得唱了就比赛唱，唱得'无喱头' 到美芬、世雄、振路、学标等文学组校友都差点把夜宵喷出来。连那两个最年轻的校友，振国和慧仪，都觉得这些'老人们'真的有够疯的。

第二天的'往事知多少'勾起了无限的回忆，原来我们当年的文笔还真有点水准! 看到校友们带着全家大小冒着风雨在校园里寻找灯谜游戏的蛛丝马迹那种投入真的太感动了。

太多的回忆，太小的篇幅，就让我以以下校友们的反应来为这篇章结尾吧：

敬源说："我们刚才从梯级一路走上来学生楼，真的好像以前上来活动那样的感觉，真的好多回忆。"

秀莲指着以前的学生楼阅读室对小儿子振维说："那里就是妈妈以前读书的地方。"

健茂说："生活不只是工作和未来，有时是要停下脚步，看看以前走过的路，回味一下过去的欢乐。"

慧仪说："原来中文学会也可以这样玩的。"

锦贤说: "时间并不能冲淡中文学会校友们炽热的心. 重返校园, 重温朴素的宿舍生活,体会学会热情奔放的活动, 若无您炽热的心, 也无法回味昔日的情怀 ! 老友,您的心感动了我 !"

鄭瑞芬: "阔别十九年回到南大宿舍，感觉如时光倒流。 以前去学会活动前，总会换上学会衬衫,　一起到食堂吃饭，一起走上学生楼活动。　这次也一样。　唯一不同的是身边多了三位活泼乱跳的小宝贝。　和大家在熟悉的场地唱歌跳舞，欣赏表演，　仿佛回到了以前，非常享受及珍惜这个感觉。　我们一定会继续办这类活动，　让中文学会的这份情谊延续下去。"
