NTU's first will-making and feng shui seminar was held on 9 May at the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry. It brought together alumni and their families and friends.

Senior lawyer, Mr Goh Peck San, spoke about Estate Planning and Master Ang Kian Cheong shared his Feng Shui wisdom.

During the Estate Planning talk by Mr Goh, the participants learnt that irregardless of one's age, health status or financial wealth, the making of a Will is extremely important. The writing of a Will is something that is simple and with this simple step, it will allow one to manage the estate properly for the future benefit of one's family. The Will is also a reflection of the values and relationships that are most important to us - whether they be with family, friends, our place of worship, or charities. Although there are intestacy laws, only a Will can ensure that your wishes are carried out as you intended.

Master Ang shared his profound Feng Shui wisdom with the participants and how one could discover personal power through Feng Shui; how to avoid bad Feng Shui that may contribute to illnesses, accidents and poor health; how to create wealth with Feng Shui; how to improve harmony within oneself and in one's home and much more. Every participant also received one free book - Feng Shui and Astrology for 2006 written by Master Ang. 

Mrs Marina Tan Harper, Director of the Development Office presented souvenirs to Mr Goh and Master Ang.

"法律和风水讲座" 使听众获益不浅

应广大校友的要求，于5月9日下午六点半，由南大基金发展处与校友事务处第一次携手组织的"法律和风水讲座"在中华总商会举行，并取得了圆满的成功。

尽管天公不作美，傍晚时分风雨大作，但校友们对这次讲座表现了极大的兴趣和热忱，共有45位南大校友及其家人参加了这次讲座。

首先，由资深律师吴碧山先生为大家讲解遗嘱知识。别以为在华裔社会，遗嘱仍为一大禁忌，又或是只有年长者才需要订立。不少前来的人士表示年轻健康的人更应该订立遗嘱，不但可以将身后事做妥善安排，减少家人的困扰，还能让我们透过对生命的回顾与检视，更深入认识自己，重新发现生命的意义。讲座间歇，大家依然热情高涨，积极提问。

接着，由著名风水大师洪维良师傅给大家上了一堂别开生面的风水课。现在越来越多的人运用风水来解决各种问题，洪师傅除了与大家分享如何通过室内装修、功能布局等方法来提高生活品质，增加财运，更赠送一本由他编著的2006年十二生肖运程给每个参与者。虽然已经超过九点，但大家仍然兴致勃勃，争先恐后地提问，不愿离开。

最后，由南大基金发展处的陈美月主任颁发纪念品给吴律师和洪师傅，感谢他们在百忙之中抽空，义务为我们讲解。讲座在一片和乐融融的气氛中结束。
