Talents from the School of Art, Design & Media (ADM) present their creations at the school's first public showcase of student work.
The first public viewing of student work at Singapore's first professional art school had something for everyone – from film and animation to drawings and sculptures.
Held from 25 to 29 April at ADM, it represented a selection of the best work produced in NTU's Bachelor of Fine Arts degree programmes. There were 224 creations by about 200 students from across ADM's six professional areas and the first year programme.
On show were the creative inspirations of ADM's first-year Foundation students, who undertake a full year of interdisciplinary learning in drawing, visual and spatial design and storytelling.
The design disciplines generated product and communication projects. Animation and live-action film screenings unveiled narrative, experimental and technical explorations. Photographic and interactive works ranged from exercises in personal expression to commercial solutions.
ADM is proud of the work that its students and faculty have created since the inception of the school in 2005. Next year, the school graduates the first class of young art, design and media professionals to be fully trained in Singapore.
