He is leaner and meaner in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", the latest movie screening for alumni.
A prequel to the "X-Men" film trilogy, alumni movie-goers were lapping it all up. They relished the return of the retractable and indestructible "bone claws", the regenerative power, animal-keen senses, and above all, the reprisal of Wolverine by hunky Hugh Jackman.
Indeed, the 200 alumni, family and friends, who caught the latest of the trilogy, were glad they grabbed the Sunday movie deal, courtesy of NTU's Alumni Affairs Office (AAO). They got to enjoy the action sci-fi amid the plush cinema of GV Vivocity, where the screening was held. They also found time to mingle with fellow alumni, while enjoying delightful finger food, prior to the start of the movie.
There to host our alumni movie-goers, Mr Anthony Teo, Secretary to the University, shared his thoughts. Drawing parallelism between reel and real, he said:"Movies parallel life and what we choose to watch tells us a lot about ourselves; age for one."
AAO has been bringing movie screening to our alumni since initiating it five years ago. Not only is the activity now a regular feature, with three to four screenings a year, it is also very popular.
