It was a festive season get-together for alumni at the Nanyang Executive Centre (NEC), NTU on 12 November where they had the opportunity to meet and network with fellow friends and staff members.
The homecoming lunch was organised by the Alumni Affairs Office and India Strategy Office with the aim of connecting with graduates of Indian nationality. The alumni who are working in Singapore enjoyed the networking and chit chatting session where they made contact with their Uni friends whom they may have not met for sometime and also made some important linkages for their career development.
While enjoying a sumptuous authentic Indian vegetarian lunch, the alumni conversed with NTU senior staff including Mr Anthony Teo, Secretary to the University. Mr Teo spoke to those present and highlighted to them the importance of keeping in touch with their alma mater, and the close relationship the university has with India. There have been numerous collaborations between NTU and universities in India which bring mutual benefits.
Mr Soon Min Yam, Director of Alumni Affairs Office informed the alumni that there are plans for an Indian Chapter of the NTU Alumni Association to be formed and encouraged them to give their fullest support.
At the end of the lunch, some alumni even formed their own smaller groups to head down to Canteen A for a cup of tea...reliving the good old days!
