Alumni and friends get lost in the "wilderness", watching "Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa", and find comic relief.
Four animal friends - Alex the lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo – got on a penguin-piloted plane to return to New York, but crash-landed in the vast plains of Africa instead.
A "wild" ride ensued. Finding themselves in the wilderness, these "tame" zoo-raised animals met species of their own kind, for the first time. What did they discover? Their roots and animal identity.
The final movie screening for the year, Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa, saw close to 200 alumni and friends gather at GV Vivocity on 16 November, for some networking and entertainment. It was a good opportunity for them to meet up with friends whom they had lost touch with, and at the same time enjoy a cocktail reception. Of course, there was the cool and comedic cartoon film.
Many were seen laughing heartily at the antics of the animal friends and some even shared that they found this movie funnier than its earlier instalment!
"My friends and I loved coming for this exciting movie event. The movie was great and the food too!" said Ms Cai Xiang, Jasmine, alumna from Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information's Class of 2006.
"The movie screening event was great. We had fun meeting each other and keeping ourselves updated about the going-ons. We look forward to see more of these activities," added Mr Wilson Lee Cheow Peng, alumnus from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering's Class of 2008.
