The notebook sale is here again! NTU staff and students will be able to purchase new models of notebooks from 31 July 2006. All the awarded models will be displayed during the road show held on 14-18 August 2006 at Lee Kong Chian Lecture Theatre Foyer. Look out for the promotions during the road show!
In this new academic year, a wider range of notebooks have been offered at even more attractive prices. The new models of notebooks offered are refreshed with the Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology. The dual-core technology delivers optimized power efficient computing and dual-core performance.
There are 5 main categories of notebooks on offer. All notebooks come with a three years on campus warranty on parts and labour. These notebooks are offered at a much lower price than the retail price due to economy of scale. Desktop PCs will only be on offer later in August. We will announce in due course. Software offered at preferential rates are also available for NTU staff and students. Although Microsoft Office 2003 Professional is not bundled with the notebook, it is available separately for purchase at a special price to NTU students. You may also like to top up your purchase with a licensed antivirus software to protect your system at all times.
Full-time matriculated undergraduates studying in NTU are eligible to apply for interest free financial loan for the purchase of stipulated notebook/desktop PC models. Where to Buy Them
You may try out or purchase these notebooks from the campus Eight Flags Computer Shop located in Academic Complex South, SS3-B3-04 (same level as Car Park B, and near Canteen B). The models will be refreshed regularly to keep up with the latest processors technology. Please remember to bring along your student matriculation card or staff card when making your purchase.
